Piosenkarze z Puerto Rico zdobyli po 7 nagród

Artyści z Puerto Rico, i , byli głównymi zwycięzcami kolejnej edycji Latin Billboards 2020, zdobyli po siedem nagród.  wygrał między innymi Latin Billboards za „Artysta roku”, „Top album roku” za „X 100PRE” i „Kompozytor roku”, a dzięki swojemu sukcesowi z „Con Calma”, miał najczęściej nagradzaną piosenkę wieczoru, zwyciężył w takich kategoriach jak „Piosenka roku” i „Gorąca latynoska piosenka roku”.

Kanadyjska piosenkarka Snow zdobyła sześć nagród, wszystkie za piosenkę „Con Calma”, a amerykański Romeo Santos zdobył cztery , w tym: „Tropikalny artysta roku, solista”; „Tropikalna piosenka roku” za „Aullando”; „Tropikalny album roku” dla „Utopii” i „ Top Latin Album dekady” dla „Formula: Vol”. 2.

Z kolei portorykańczyk Luis Fonsi zdobył trzy w kategorii „Latynoski artysta roku pop, solista”; „Latynoski album pop roku” dla „Vidy” i „ Latino piosenka dekady” za „Despacito”, nagrodę, którą dzieli z Daddy Yankee. 

Najwięcej nagród wśród kobiet otrzymała Karol G.

Kolumbijska artystka otrzymała dwie nagrody Latin Billboard Awards w kategorii Artystka Roku „Hot Latin Songs ”, Kobieta i Artystka Roku „Top Latin Albums ” wśród kobiet.

Portorykańczycy Wisin i Yandel również zakończyli wieczór dwoma wyróżnieniami w kategoriach Tropikalna piosenka roku dla „Aullando” i artysta „Latin Rhythm” roku, duet i grupa

Podobną ilość otrzymali Meksykanie z Banda MS de Sergio Lizárraga, którzy zwyciężyli w kategorii Artysta Roku, Duet lub Grupa w kategorii „Top Latin Albums ” oraz Regionalny Artysta Roku, Duet lub Grupa.

Nagrody wręczono podczas ceremonii na żywo, ale bez publiczności, która odbyła się w mieście Sunrise (USA), położonym na północ od Miami, podczas której zaprezentowano 18 numerów muzycznych na żywo i oddano hołd Meksykańskiej legendzie Armando Manzanero z nagrodą Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award.
